Fine, the "highly coveted" title of "most controversial" may be a bit of a misnomer, but Brampton's self esteem is not in great shape right now. We're facing the new challenges of an emerging big city, yet lag behind the rest of the GTA in various aspects of city life. The rush hour commutes in and out of b-town are legendary, yet somehow the population continues to grow at a somewhat alarming rate.
There have been big improvements in infrastructure, public transportation, and heath care. Yet even those high prized improvements have not provided the long term solutions that are needed in Canada's 9th largest city. The city is home to a hard working and diverse populace, but they continue to be let down by those elected to lead. The people of Brampton continue to be hit with high property taxes, high insurance rates, and high-way (410) robbery by their leaders.
